Since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have experienced major changes in practically everything we do. Health and safety is an important topic when it comes to the medical and dental industry. As Burlington dentists, we have implemented several safety measures and practices in order to provide our patients and our dental team with the safest possible dental care.
For Burlington patients wondering if it’s safe to go to the dentist during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the short answer is yes. While several things have changed at our office, our commitment to your beautiful smile, oral health and general safety still remain our top priority.
We follow the strict guidelines provided by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and the Ministry of Health to ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control and to provide a safe experience for everyone that steps into our office.
With the additional steps taken and the COVID-19 infection control recommendations, our Burlington dental office is committed to take every measures possible for your protection.
During your next visit, you may experience several changes:
- Before your visit, you will be asked some COVID-19 screening questions. You will be asked to fill out and sign a form when visiting the office to confirm your health.
- A mask will be required for every visit. Your temperature will be taken, shoe covers and hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Physical distancing is practised and appointments are scheduled in a way to avoid or limit direct, face-to-face interaction with others . All adult patients will be required to make their dental visit alone unless otherwise necessary or instructed.
- Our team will be using full personal protective equipment (PPE)including masks, face shields and gowns.
- Our Office is proud to provide an environment of clean air for all of our patients and staff. Surgically Clean Air, uses HEPA filter that can absolutely help reduce the risk of airborne transmission of COVID-19.
We have taken several safety measures to ensure a safe and comfortable visit. Our patients are our first priority and we look forward to your visit. If you should have any further questions or concerns, our team of dental professionals are just a phone call away.
