Root canal treatment is useful aid in restoring an extremely damaged or infected tooth. During the procedure, the defective soft tissue within the tooth is removed, the remainder of the tooth is cleaned, disinfected and then a filling is applied and sealed in order to reinforce and strengthen the rest of the area of the tooth. The most typical factors behind getting a root canal therapy is often a cavity resulting in untreated decay in the tooth. As the decay progresses heavily into the tooth, it ultimately reaches the nerve. At this stage, the best method to correct and restore the tooth would be by undergoing root canal (or endodontic) treatment.
